An ice cream maker will be needed for this recipe. 

This ice cream recipe is:

  • Vegan (dairy free, egg-free)
  • Paleo
  • LOADED with two essential fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega-6)
  • High in protein (8.6 g per 1/2 cup!)
  • Nut-free
  • Coconut-free
  • Banana-free

Makes 6 to 8 cups.

Strawberry Hemp Heart Ice Cream Ingredients

 2 cups Hemp&fork Hemp Hearts hulled hemp seeds
 3 ½ cups hemp milk
 2 ½ cups strawberries preferably fresh (cut stems and greens off)
 ½ cup pure maple syrup**The maple syrup can be swapped out for an equivalent amount of natural cane sugar. If you're not vegan, you can substitute 1/3 cup of honey for the maple syrup.
 2 tbsp lemon juice, frshly squeezed
 2 tsp vanilla extract
 ¼ tsp sea salt

Strawberry Hemp Heart Ice Cream Recipe Directions

Combine the hemp milk and hemp hearts in a closed container. Place in the fridge for at least eight hours (do not drain).

Blend the hemp hearts and milk, strawberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt in a blender until smooth.

Mixture should be transferred to an ice cream maker and processed in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines. Serve immediately (for a softer serve) or place into an airtight container and freeze until the required firmness is achieved.
