Garlic Hemp and Sunflower Seed Pesto is one of our favorite recipes at Hemp&fork. This seed-rich variation of pesto offers a health boost thanks to the added nutrients from the hemp hearts, sunflower, and flax seeds.

Pesto is a sauce made in Genoa, Italy’s northern region. It dates back to the 16th century and combines crushed garlic, basil, and pine nuts with Parmesan cheese and olive oil. This recipe is a twist on that classic recipe, we’ve added hemp hearts, flax seeds and sunflower seeds and removed the pine nuts and basil. Feel free to substitute the parmesan cheese for a vegan-friendly dish.
